विश्वविद्यालय के महापंडित राहुल सांकृत्यायन केन्द्रीय पुस्तकालय के विशाल भवन के निर्माण का कार्य पूरा हो चुका है। एक लाख से अधिक पुस्तकों से सुसज्जित पुस्तकालय नवनिर्मित भवन में चल रहा है। केन्द्रीय पुस्तकालय के अतिरिक्त हर विद्यापीठ, केन्द्र तथा विभागों के पास अपने अलग विभागीय पुस्तकालय हैं। इनमें भी ज्ञान के विभिन्न अनुशासनों से सम्बन्धित पुस्तकें प्रचुर मात्रा में उपलब्ध हैं।
केन्द्रीय पुस्तकालय सोमवार से शुक्रवार तक प्रातः 8 से सायं 8 तक तथा शनिवार,रविवार को प्रातः 10 से सायं 5 बजे तक खुला रहता है। केन्द्रीय पुस्तकालय में शोधार्थियों के लिए इन्टरनेट की सुविधा से युक्त कम्प्यूटर प्रयोगशाला भी कार्यरत है।

Mission Statement
The Central library is grappling with how to respond to the changing landscape of higher education and the resulting changes in library collections and services. The Library system is serving the university community by:
Building and providing access to collections that support education and learning as well as environment that support curricular inquiry.
The Central Library's mission is to provide leadership for the development, organization, and sharing of resources, ensuring optimal access to information, instruction of users, and services responsive to their needs. The Library promotes the values associated with intellectual inquiry, and knowledge. The aim is to provide comprehensive resources and customized services in support of the research, teaching, and learning needs of the university community. The Library promotes lifelong learning by creating welcoming spaces that offer collections and services to inform, inspire, enrich, and entertain. To fulfill these missions, the Library commits to:
- Ensure the preservation and long-lasting availability of Library resources;
- Build collections and create tools to support research and learning;
- Maximize access to and promote the use of internal as well as external information resources;
- Create attractive and comfortable physical and virtual environments for study, teaching, research and leisure reading;
- Collaborate with faculty and researchers to enrich the services.
The Library strives for excellence and embraces opportunity to become a nationally reputed resource centre; as an innovative centre in the pursuit of academic excellence and a leader in providing dynamic information services, central Library provides physical places that welcome and contribute to research and learning; works in partnership with members of the university community; acquires, manages, presents, provides access and preserves information resources that support research, scholarship, artistic endeavors, and learning; educate the university community in the effective use of library/information resources and services.
Library Vision and values
The central Library @MGAHV encompasses traditional and digital learning environments, by providing value-added and user-centric services. The central Library shares with the university the aspiration to be the most dynamic learning environment in the country. The Library ensures that its collections remain forward-looking, diverse in breadth and form, open to browsing, and of world-renowned quality. Through orientation program, the library makes users aware of the resources available to them, and through innovation, it makes access to these resources easier. The Library's aim is to create of an integrated, seamless web of information to streamline access to users. Therefore, Central Library preserves information across all formats and ensures effective storage and delivery systems. The Library’s physical and virtual spaces respond to the changing habits of its users to enrich the campus experience and to multiply the ways in which people can pursue inquiry. The Library's collaboration with expanding circles of partners yields unified
access, broadening knowledge, and enhanced services. The Library continues to embrace change and align itself to thrive on diversity, to support professional growth and opportunity, and to reward flexibility and innovation.
Identified activities to support library mission and vision
The Central Library@ MGAHV will accomplish its vision by the activities related to service, collections, and access, as below:
Activity 1: Personalized Services
The library focuses on user centric services, by blending both traditional and electronic ways. To achieve this, the following action would be considered:
- Empowering users and extending comfortable and inviting environment.
- Evaluating library services and maintaining Proper statistics and regular review and analysis of those statistics.
Activity 2: Develop a balanced collection of both print and digital. The central library will
- continue to buy print material but more focus would be on e-resources ;
- preserve rare books, manuscripts, out of print materials
- establish an institutional repository of born digital as well as digitized documents.
- Provide access to library resources through web based interface.
Activity 3: Create online Learning environment
- online feedback system
- development of 'Information Commons'/library commons;
- Promotion and awareness of e-resources amongst users;
- Enhance interactive environment by using web 2.0 technologies (blogs, wikis, RSS feeds)
- Provide a suitable place 'cafe' in the library.
Activity 4: Renovation and adding on to existing library building.
A mission statement alone is not enough for the growth and development of central library. In all of our interactions, we are guided by these values:

कम्प्यूटर प्रयोगशाला
विद्यार्थियों के लिए शिक्षा के आधुनिकतम संसाधनों को उपलब्ध कराने के उद्देश्य से विश्वविद्यालय में एक कम्प्यूटर प्रयोगशाला स्थापित की गयी है। यहाँ न सिर्फ इंटरनेट की सुविधा उपलब्ध है, बल्कि कम्प्यूटर के अनिवार्य-शिक्षण के माध्यम से विद्यार्थियों को शोध और ज्ञान की अधुनातन प्रविधियों से भी अवगत कराया जाता है।
स्वास्थ्य सेवाएं
विश्वविद्यालय का स्वास्थ्य सेवा केन्द्र आंशिक तौर पर प्रारम्भ किया गया है। फिलहाल विश्वविद्यालय ने एक पुरूष एवं एक महिला फिजिशियन तथा एक दंत चिकित्सक को अस्थायी तौर पर नियुक्त किया है। विश्वविद्यालय में स्वास्थ्य सेवा केन्द्र का भवन का निर्माण पूर्ण हो चुका है। विश्वविद्यालय के सदस्यों की चिकित्सीय देखरेख हेतु जल्द ही पूर्णकालिक चिकित्सा अधिकारी की नियुक्ति की जाएगी।
विश्वविद्यालय ने निम्नलिखित दो चिकित्सालयों को कर्मचारियों एवं विद्यार्थियों हेतु मान्य कर रखा है जहाँ आवश्यकता होने पर सेवाएं प्रदान की जाती है

- 2. सावंगी मेघे मेडीकल कॉलेज, सावंगी

खेल-कूद
महात्मा गांधी अंतरराष्ट्रीय हिंदी विश्वविद्यालय विभिन्न स्तरों पर विद्यार्थियों और शोधार्थियों के रचनात्मक विकास हेतु एक विकल्प प्रस्तुत करता है। इस दिशा में विद्यार्थियों के शारीरिक विकास के लिए क्रीड़ा विभाग की स्थापना की गई। इस विभाग के माध्यम से विभिन्न खेलों का आयोजन किया जाता रहा है जिसमें दिसम्बर 2007 में विश्वविद्यालय की ओर से खेल प्रभारी श्री अमित राय (व्याख्याता, दूरशिक्षा कार्यक्रम) के नेतृत्व में 28 सदस्यीय टीम ने 23 वें पश्चिम क्षेत्र अंतरविश्वविद्यालयीन युवा महोत्सव ग्वालियर में पहली बार भागीदारी की और प्रशंसनीय कार्य किया।
सितंबर 2008 में महात्मा गांधी अंतरराष्ट्रीय हिंदी विश्वविद्यालय के प्रांगण में एक क्रिकेट प्रतियोगिता संपन्न हुई जिसमें एम.ए. तृतीय सेमेस्टर की टीम ने उत्कृष्ट प्रदर्शन कर प्रथम स्थान प्राप्त किया।
विश्वविद्यालय में खेल प्रांगण, इंडोर स्टेडियम एवं जिम्नेजियम का प्रस्ताव पास किया जा चुका है जिसके तहत विद्यार्थियों को भविष्य में विभिन्न सुविधाएं प्रदान करने के प्रयास जारी हैं।
गोरख पाण्डेय छात्रावास विश्वविद्यालय के उत्तरी परिसर में स्थापित है. इसकी कुल आवासीय क्षमता 150 छात्रों की है. छात्रावास में वाचनालय, वाई-फाई क्षमता युक्त कंप्यूटर लैब, अत्याधुनिक व्यायामशाला के साथ इनडोर खेलों व एक कॉमन हाल की सुविधा भी है. विश्वविद्यालय द्वारा सब्सिडी के आधार पर अन्तःवासियों के लिए मेस की व्यवस्था है. छात्रावास से विश्वविद्यालय के सभी विभाग पैदल दूरी पर अवस्थित हैं.
